About
I grew up in Baltimore and attended the public schools there. After high school, I attended Cornell University where I received a BS and MS in Mechanical Engineering. Subsequent to that, I received an MBA (Finance) from George Washington University.
After college I was an officer in the U.S. Navy and subsequently spent a career at the Ford Motor company.
Early on, I was dedicated to photography as an art form with many magazine publications and gallery shows. My work was added to museum collections around the country. For several years I was an Artist in Residence teaching at the Smithsonian.
About ten years ago, I began writing poetry, always choosing the free verse format and was a frequent presenter at Busboys and Poets at their various venues in and around Washington, D.C.
For ten years I participated extensively with Landmark Education. For the last twenty years, I have been a student of A Course In Miracles. Both have bearing on the shape of my thoughts.
For four years, I was the 24/7 caregiver for my mother who came to live with me until she passed away in 2019.
In my poetry you will hear several different voices. All of them are attempting to speak to you. And to your hearing. And to your thinking.
On the following web page, you’ll find the chapters of the book with a little peek at what is contained within.
You will also begin to understand and get to know me a little better. I desire the space between you and I should melt.
Enjoy!
